Fan Wen is nineteen and lives in Milan's Chinatown. When her parents' restaurant faces collapse under extortion from the local tong, Fan watches everything she loves crumble. At the same moment, a romantic betrayal strikes: Andrea, the Italian boy she has been in love with, only got close to her because of a bet. Wounded and humiliated, Fan finds comfort in Chen — her brilliant, nerdy best friend — and in Gong, the eccentric self-proclaimed shaman of the neighbourhood.
Fan Wen ha diciannove anni e vive nella Chinatown di Milano. Quando il ristorante dei suoi genitori rischia il fallimento a causa delle estorsioni della tong locale, Fan vede crollare tutto ciò che ama. A mysterious puzzle box reveals the existence of an ancient treasure hidden beneath Chinatown, connected to the secret history of the first Chinese immigrants who arrived in Milan in the 1920s. Fan, Chen, and Gong launch into a treasure hunt through alleys, hidden temples, underground passages, and magical visions — pursued by Zhou Ming, a ruthless sorcerer sent by the mysterious Triad of the Sun to recover an artefact capable of controlling heaven and earth.
