She has been dead for months. Yet she keeps appearing: every Thursday, same time, same route — a ghost trapped in a temporal loop, reliving the last hours of her life. Only Dexter can see her. The trail leads through false suspects — a jealous ex with a false alibi, an abrasive elderly neighbour, a former lover living abroad — before an unexpected guide arrives: Felix, a stray dog who can also see Katja's ghost. Paul is wounded. Dexter and Syriah are imprisoned in the basement where Katja's body was hidden. In the confrontation that follows, Dexter faces not only the killer — but the illusion itself. Felix stops Gilbert. Katja's ghost dissolves. Free, finally. Dexter is left with the void — and the choice. On the panoramic elevator, above the city, he takes Emily's hand. Not consolation.
